Accepted Identity Documents (ID) 🪪

What should I upload?
If you were born outside of the UK then you'll need to provide evidence of your right to remain in the UK.

When you complete your application you'll be asked to upload a copy of your Identity Documents, you can upload a photo of any of the below.

Preferred Documents:
- UK Passport
- Biometric Residence Permit*

Acceptable Alternatives:*
- Your Native Passport
- UK Driving License
- Your Native Driving License

*You must supply a share code to accompany these documents, you can obtain a share code here. Please email this to us at contact@getabound.com as soon as possible to help us process your application.

My ID has expired

If you do not have additional photo ID please send us two new forms of identification. Please take photos of the documents below instead when prompted to take photos of your driving license/passport in the application journey. 

- Birth Certificate

- Utility Bill (dated within the last 6 months)

- Bank Statement (dated within the last 6 months)

What do you need my ID for?

We use your ID to verify the individual applying for the loan. The ID is first passed through our advanced digital screening system and then checked manually by a member of the team. You may be asked to supply another photo of your ID if it is blurry, too small, looks like it could be a scanned image or a photograph of a photograph. 

*Non UK resident?
You must have at least 6 months left on your right to remain in the UK. You may be asked to provide evidence to prove your intention to renew your visa. 

Your ID photo is held securely and never shared or sold to 3rd parties.
