To verify your identity, we require a high-quality photo of a valid, original government-issued ID.
We cannot accept printouts, photocopies, or photos of a computer screen.
Primary Documents (Recommended)
These documents are processed the fastest by our automated systems:
Passport: Any valid international passport.
UK Driving Licence: Full or Provisional (must be the plastic photocard).
Biometric Residence Permit (BRP): Even if it has expired within the last 18 months, as long as you also provide a valid Share Code.
Alternative Documents
If you do not have the items above, we may be able to accept:
EU National Identity Card: Must be the modern plastic card version.
UK Residence Card: For non-EEA family members of EEA nationals.
Document Requirements Checklist
Before you upload your photo, please ensure:
✅ Validity: The document must not be expired (unless it is a BRP expired by less than 18 months).
✅ Visibility: All four corners of the document must be visible in the frame.
✅ No Glare: Ensure there is no bright light or "flash" reflecting off the plastic, as this can hide important details.
✅ Legibility: Your name, date of birth, and document number must be perfectly clear and easy to read.
What if my ID is not accepted?
Our system may reject a photo if it is blurry, too dark, or if the document is damaged (e.g., cracked plastic or torn pages). If your ID is rejected, you will receive an email with instructions on how to try again.
