If you are a non-UK national, we need to verify your right to reside in the UK. The most secure and fastest way to do this is by providing a 9-character share code generated by the UK government.
What is a share code?
It is a unique code (letters and numbers) that allows Abound to verify your immigration status digitally. This replaces the need for us to see physical documents or stamps in your passport.
Before you begin, make sure you have:
✅ Access to your UKVI account.
✅ Your identity document (Passport, BRP, or National ID card).
✅ Access to your registered phone or email to receive a security code.
Step-by-Step Guide
Step 1: Go to the official Welcome to GOV.UK service
Visit the View and prove your immigration status page on the Welcome to GOV.UK website.
Step 2: Sign in to your UKVI account
You will need to enter your document number (e.g., your BRP or Passport number) and your date of birth. A 6-digit security code will be sent to your phone or email to complete the login.
Step 3: Generate the code
Once logged in, scroll to the bottom of your eVisa page and click "Get a share code."
You will be asked for the reason you need the code.
Step 4: Copy and Submit
Your 9-character code will appear on the screen
Copy the code and return to your Abound application.
Paste the code into the requested field or follow the "Email us your share code" link provided in your application instructions.
Common Troubleshooting
"My code isn't working": Ensure you selected "Anything else" as the reason.
Expiration: Share codes are only valid for 90 days.
I don't have a UKVI account: If you have a physical BRP but no digital account, you may need to create one at gov.uk/evisa before you can generate a code.
